The Bob Cole Conservatory offers scholarships to both new and continuing students. With over 40 named scholarships, the conservatory awards more than $200,000 per year in scholarships, covering full or partial tuition for most music majors.
Incoming Student Scholarships
Incoming Student Scholarships are available for incoming students (freshman, transfer and graduate) from partial to full-tuition. The Prospective Student Audition serves as the scholarship audition for Incoming Student Scholarship awards. Scholarships are offered to outstanding students following the students’ individual audition. The awards are renewable for four years (eight semesters) for undergraduate and two years (four semesters) for graduate during study as a music major in the CSULB Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, in accordance with the following requirements:
- Remain a full-time matriculated student with a minimum of 12 units completed per semester.
- Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5
- Enroll and participate in assigned performing ensembles
- Maintain satisfactory progress toward completion of the degree
Continuing Student Scholarships
Each spring, continuing students may perform for competitive scholarships. There are merit-based scholarships available to all eligible students, with many awards designated for specific performance areas.
