Milliner

A milliner was a woman or man who made hats and other fashionable items of clothing. Milliners often sold a varity of decorative items in their shops. To become a successful milliner, an artisan needed excellent sewing skills and familiarity with fashion. Some served expensive apprenticeships as preparation.
