London April ye 13th 1770

Dear Madam

I wrote to you the week I
arrived & to Mr Deblois by Capt Freeman
I hope Scott is safe arrieved & your Brother
dinn’d with you on Ester day I expect to
dine at Gravesend on that day, pray
do not think me destracted when you hear
I am flying about in such a manner, I am 
indeed very thoughtfull but not Melencholy
the scenes I go through are very moving
if my heart was not almost as hard as
a marble table they wou’d be too much
for such a constitution, In orer to make
a most affectionate & tender Father & Mother
tolerable easy I came here last Tuesday
evening to see two of their Children
safe on board Capt Jacobson as it was
by my advice they go it was certainly
a duty incumbent on me to through
this task however sever, the friendship
and civility I have met with in Boston
gives me reason to hope thes very young
