The Brass Choir and the Rafael Méndez Brass Institute

The Brass Choir, a brass ensemble primarily comprised of BCCM students and alumni, is participating in the Rafael Méndez Brass Institute at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music. The institute runs July 14 – 20, 2013 and includes daily concerts and recitals, including faculty concerto performances accompanied by the Denver Municipal Band, jazz artist night, Denver Brass Concert, and a culminating performance by the world-renowned Summit Brass.

BCCM students Kyle Richter won the mock auditions and Danny Thibodeaux tied for runner-up.

Master-classes, chamber coaching, seminars and open Summit Brass rehearsals give participants the opportunity to see first-hand how professionals approach entrepreneurial businesses, professional growth and performances.
