Keyboard Scholarship Chess Challenge
Saturday, October 29, 2016 3:00pm-5:00pm
Gerald R. Daniel Recital Hall lobby and patio
On Saturday, October 29, the inaugural KEYBOARD SCHOLARSHIP CHESS CHALLENGE will take place around the Daniel Recital Hall on the CSU Long Beach campus. In a test of stamina and concentration, I will attempt to play against twenty (20) opponents at the same time.
I am asking you to kindly pledge your support by making a donation for each game that I win. After the event, I will let you know how I did and you can donate at that time, or simply mail a donation now, payable to CSULB 49er Foundation.
Your support will go a long way in helping the Bob Cole Conservatory Keyboard Studies program attract top students from all over the world and allow them to focus on their studies once they are here, free from the distraction of financial burdens.
I would also like to invite you to stop by at the festivities, which begins at three o’clock in the afternoon. Enjoy an autumn afternoon of piano music with light refreshments, catch a glimpse of the spectacle, and perhaps participate in the chess challenge yourself! All activities are free and open to the public, so please join us.
We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to seeing you October 29. Anyone who pledges or donates will receive two complimentary tickets of your choice to an upcoming Keyboard Studies concert listed below.
My sincerest thanks for your participation.
Dr. Shun-Lin Chou
Director of Keyboard Studies, Bob Cole Conservatory of Music
