WGEC Office Working Remotely Effective March 19, 2020

In light of the heightened concerns around COVID-19 and CSULB's decision to suspend in-person classes, Women's & Gender Equity (WGEC) staff will work remotely until further notice. Our goal is to ensure that we can provide you with the support to successfully meet your goals. During this time, the WGEC office will not be open for any in-person services, but we will maintain our services for students enrolled in the CalWORKs program and resource referrals.

WGEC will be available Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm starting March 19, 2020, until further notice. You may reach us via the following methods:

CalWORKs participants please make sure forms are legible, your section is filled out, and that you have signed the document in the appropriate area. To avoid a delay in processing, please send the forms by the 5th of each month. The WGEC will review and forward the required documents to the assigned caseworker. Please note: WGEC staff may need to schedule a Zoom appointment if additional follow-up is needed.

The Women's & Gender Equity Center is a safe, comfortable, supportive and inclusive environment that offers services, support, and resources for students. The center provides a Sexual Assault Victim's Advocate located at the Student Health Center, M/T/TH/F 8 am -5 pm, Wednesdays, 9 am - 5 pm. For Sexual Assault Crisis Services after 5 pm, call YWCA -GLA 24-hour Crisis Hotline (877) 943-5778.
