Center for Scholarship Information (CSI)

The mission of the Center for Scholarship Information (CSI) is to create outstanding scholarship opportunities for students at CSULB through organizing information in an efficient manner, serving as a campus resource on the complete scholarship process, administering campus scholarships when necessary, and assisting scholarship fundraising efforts. Hot Scholarships

These scholarships tend to have more general scholarship criteria rather than related to criteria specific to a major or college.  Check out nearly 20 Hot Scholarships ranging from $500-$3,000!


NOTE: Scholarships below are listed in earliest deadline order

Deadline: Thursday, February 18, 2016 by 4pm

College of Engineering (COE) scholarships

    One (1) single application for over 70 COE Scholarships ranging from $500-$2,500

College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) scholarships

    One (1) single application for ALL CHHS scholarships ranging from $500-$3,500

College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) scholarships

One (1) single application for all CNSM scholarships ranging from $1,000-$5,000

Deadline: Thursday, February 25, 2016 by 4pm

College of the Arts (COTA) scholarships

One (1) single application for all COTA scholarships ranging from $500-$5,000

College of Liberal Arts (CLA) scholarships:


    Doug Polly and Jean Han Student Award ($1,000-$1,500)

    Jana Carpenter Whittier Union H.S. District Memorial Scholarship ($1,000-$3,000)

    Parker Scholarship for English and Social Studies (1-2 at $1,000)


    Joseph and Ducelia Contreras Scholarship (1-2 at $500)


    Audrey Nichol Hauth Scholarship ($3,250)

    Irv B. and Karen A. Gamal Award ($1,000)

    Luster E. Hauth Scholarship ($3,250)


    Jana Carpenter Memorial Endowed Scholarship ($1,500-$2,500)

Phi Delta Gamma – Phi Chapter Award ($1,000)

> For graduate students who participate in community service related to the research or creative activity in the graduate field of study

Ruth R. Guthrie scholarship ($500)

> For students who have had a woman influenced their life as well as make a different and encourage others through mentoring, community service or volunteer work

ASI Scholarships (Several @ $1,000)

>For students who are not ASI Executive Officers, members of the ASI Senate/Board of Directors, and full-time employees of ASI

Christina Speaker Scholarship ($1,000)

>For students who have assumed a leadership position within AS Government

Queer Advocacy Scholarship (2 at $1,000)

>For students who accomplished positive changes in the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer Intersex and Ally (LGBTQIA) + community.

Stuart Farber Endowed Merit Scholarship for Ethical Conduct, Civility and ASI Leadership Service ($1,000)

>For students who hold elected positions within AS Government

Rolling Deadline

ASI-CSULB Study Abroad Scholarship

> For CSULB students who are studying abroad for one year, one semester or a short-term program.
