Summer Conference Assistant

Under the leadership of the Conference Coordinator, Conference Assistant and Summer Conference Leads, Summer Conference Assistants will assist with the administrative and customer service function of CSULB summer operations. The most important aspects of this position are customer service, attention to detail, the ability to work as a team, flexibility to work in an environment with changing schedules/ deadlines and a willingness to serve.

Summer Conference Assistant Lead

Under the leadership of the Conference Coordinator and Conference Assistant, Summer Conference Leads will provide guidance and direction to the Conference Assistants with the administrative and customer service function of CSULB summer operations. The most important aspects of this position are customer service, attention to detail, the ability to work as a team, flexibility to work in an environment with changing schedules and deadlines and a willingness to serve. Summer Conference Leads will lead a team of eight Conference Assistants.

Residential Coordinator

A graduate student assistant appointment that works directly with professional and student staff to create inclusive communities in an effort to fulfill our departmental mission. Residential Coordinators (in conjunction with their supervisors) handle daily operations within the residence hall community, including but not limited to: staff supervision and training, residential curriculum implementation, student leadership development, community development, student behavior management, completing administrative tasks, serving in the on-call rotation, etc.

On-call responsibilities include addressing after hours and weekend emergencies, facilities concerns, and providing direction and support for Resident Assistants. Due to the nature of the on-call responsibilities this position requires Residential Coordinators to live on campus. Housing is provided as compensation in addition to a full meal plan (when the dining halls are open) and a monthly voucher.

Residential Coordinator for Student Conduct (HRL)

A graduate position for CSULB graduates’ students enrolled full-time in a graduate level program. As a member of the Housing & Residential Life staff, the RCSC will maintain 20 hours a week assisting with conduct hearings, administrative tasks, and educational programming related to Housing Student Conduct. This is not a live-in position.

This staff member works under the supervision of the HRL Assistant Director of Student Conduct. The RCSC will support the mission and educational priorities of the department through conduct meetings, resident follow-up, staff training, resident education, and other residential curriculum strategies
