Residential Coordinator for Student Conduct (HRL)

The Residential Coordinator for Student Conduct (RCSC) is a graduate position for CSULB graduates’ students enrolled full-time in a graduate level program. As a member of the Housing & Residential Life staff, the RCSC will maintain 20 hours a week assisting with conduct hearings, administrative tasks, and educational programming related to Housing Student Conduct. This is not a live-in position.

This staff member works under the supervision of the HRL Assistant Director of Student Conduct. The RCSC will support the mission and educational priorities of the department through conduct meetings, resident follow-up, staff training, resident education, and other residential curriculum strategies.

Tentative Timeline:

      • December 11-16: Offer is made/accepted
      • Winter Break: Selected candidate will move into HRL provided apartment after hiring paperwork is submitted and background check clears
      • January 6: First day of Residential Coordinator training



Residential Coordinator (Spring 2020)

This mid-year Residential Coordinator Position is a 5-month graduate student assistant appointment that works directly with professional and student staff to create inclusive communities in an effort to fulfill our departmental mission. Residential Coordinators (in conjunction with their supervisors) handle daily operations within the residence hall community, including but not limited to: staff supervision and training, residential curriculum implementation, student leadership development, community development, student behavior management, completing administrative tasks, serving in the on-call rotation, etc.

On-call responsibilities include addressing after hours and weekend emergencies, facilities concerns, and providing direction and support for Resident Assistants. Due to the nature of the on-call responsibilities this position requires Residential Coordinators to live on campus. Housing is provided as compensation in addition to a full meal plan (when the dining halls are open) and a monthly voucher.

Marketing and Social Media Assistant

The Marketing and Social Media Assistant (MSMA) is a student employee who supports the media production and communication efforts of CSULB Housing & Residential Life. These staff members work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Programming and Assessment. MSMAs help communicate the mission and educational priorities of the department through graphic design, video production, photography, and social media. The ideal candidate can begin working immediately and continue working through summer 2020.
