About the Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC), formerly known as Disabled Student Services

The Bob Murphy Access Center is a student support program within the Division of Student Affairs. Our mission is to assist students with disabilities as they secure their university degrees at California State University, Long Beach. We provide services to over 1,500 students each semester. Over 10,000 students with disabilities have graduated from California State University, Long Beach with support from our program.

Our program staff are committed to helping students with disabilities build a better future. To meet this goal, the Bob Murphy Access Center provides support services for in classroom activities, career development resources, use of and training on adaptive computer equipment and access devices, disability related counseling, and academic advisement.
