Academic Enrichment Camps at CSULB

Computer, Reading, Art, & Math

What better way to have your son/daughter spend their summer vacation? The morning will be filled with fun math, computer, reading and writing and art activities while the afternoon can be spent at the 49er Youth Fitness Camp.

The purpose of the Academic Enrichment Camp is to provide each child with a relaxed and exciting learning environment in which the basic skills of each of the subject areas are taught.

Program of Activities

Work will be assigned according to grade and skill level. Students will be assigned to groups according to THE GRADE THEY WILL BE ENTERING IN FALL 2015.

Instructors will evaluate the campers the first two days of camp. With the help of a classroom aid, campers may be further grouped according to knowledge of the subject matter. After an initial evaluation, campers will be taught using modified learning games, challenging activities, day-to-day learning experiences and worksheets. The children will also be introduced to new materials. Multiplication tables and division facts will be reviewed for grade appropriate campers.

Age appropriate art projects will be taught to the campers as well.
