180. Lifespan Human Development (3)

Prerequisite/Corequisite: ENGL 100 or GE Composition (Area A1).
Introduction to the cognitive, social emotional and physical development of humans within their ecological niches. Differing worldviews (anthropology, sociology, psychology, and biology) will be used to compare and contrast developmental milestones and issues from conception to death.

190. Elementary Statistics in Social and Behavioral Sciences (4)

Prerequisites: Eligible to take a General Education Mathematics Course.
Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics and their applications in social and behavioral science research; performance of statistical exercises by interactive computer. Emphasis upon knowledge of which statistical tests to use and how to interpret their results.
Not open for credit to students with credit in ANTH 202, PSY 110, SOC 170, or HDEV 190. (Lec 3 hrs, lab 2 hrs.)

215. From Cradle to Crypt: Representations of the Lifespan (3)

Prerequisites: ENGL 100 or GE Composition (Area A1)
Prerequisites/Corequisites: ANTH 120 or HDEV 180 or PSY 100 or SOC 100
This course explores representations of the lifespan, from birth to death, highlighting interdisciplinary approaches to understanding literary and cultural texts in comparative and global contexts.
Same course as CWL 215. Not open for credit to students with credit in CWL 215.
