Position

Assistant Professor of Theatre (Voice)

Effective Date

August 20, 2012 (Fall Semester)

Salary Range

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • MFA in acting, theatre, speech or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in teaching at the professional or university level
  • Commitment to and/or experience in educating a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching

  • Evidence of experience in teaching voice and speech for professional actors

  • Evidence of experience as vocal coach for professional and/or university theatre productions

 

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of courses in voice and speech at both undergraduate and graduate level

  • Serve as vocal coach for both undergraduate and Cal Rep productions

  • Teach in related areas as appropriate
