Meghan M. Carungcong is a music educator and music therapist serving elementary students within the Long Beach Unified School District. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Tennessee Technological University as well as a Master of Music in Music Education and Music Credential from California State University, Los Angeles.
Meghan is a Level III Orff-certified practitioner who integrates singing, movement, and creative exploration into her curriculum. At her three elementary school sites in Long Beach, Meghan leads classroom music and choral programs designed to be engaging, joyful, accessible, and deeply rooted in student interest.
Meghan co-conducts the Long Beach Unified Elementary Honor Choir for the past four years. She also serves as a resource to her colleagues, frequently mentoring fellow district teachers on inclusive pedagogical strategies for children with exceptional needs. She remains dedicated to creating student-centered environments that celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the Long Beach community.
