Esbeyde Sánchez is a music educator and active performing mariachi musician who started the CSULB Mariachi ensemble. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Violin Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music at California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University. She teaches K–8 instrumental and vocal music in the Long Beach Unified School District and is currently working toward National Board Certification.
Sánchez has performed mariachi professionally for more than 14 years. She began her professional career with Mariachi Mujer 2000 under the direction of Laura Sobrino and now performs with her family mariachi quartet, Los Sánchez Sánchez. Additionally, she has shared her mariachi passion in classroom and after-school settings across several Southern California school districts, including LBUSD, LAUSD, SAUSD, and AUHSD.
