David Blackinton is a music educator and conductor teaching in the Anaheim Union High School District, where he teaches digital music, marching band, concert bands, and string orchestra at both the high school and junior high school level. He is a 2024 graduate of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach, graduating summa cum laude with a music education degree and single subject credential in K-12 Music. Currently, he is completing his Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting.
In the Conservatory, David currently teaches Digital Methods, conducts the Beach Pep Band and Concert Band, and assists with the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band as part of his masters program. He has a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all students to experience music and providing meaningful opportunities for students.
