Jeremy Swem is a freelance trombonist and euphoniumist in the greater Los Angeles area, and is currently a resident of Long Beach, CA. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance and Instrumental Music Education from California State University, Long Beach, where he studied with Loren Marsteller, James Miller, and Jeffrey Reynolds.
In addition to a busy freelance schedule, he has performed locally and nationally with various ensembles such as The Long Beach Municipal Band, Pacific Coast Horns, Pacific Brass Ensemble, The Golden State Pops Orchestra, The Americus Brass Band, Southern California Brass Consortium, and in the orchestras of various regional musical theater companies.
As a musician at the Disneyland Resort, he was a member of the Original Disneyland Band from 2009 to 2015, and can still be heard with various other ensembles around the park today. Jeremy has also recorded for TV and film projects, as well as music heard in theme parks.
As an educator, Jeremy has taught at schools throughout Southern California at all levels. In addition to maintaining a private studio, he is an avid proponent of chamber music and is on faculty for the Brass Chamber Music Workshop at Cal Poly, Humboldt.
