Webinar: Guiding the Health Professions Student

The objective of this webinar is to provide community college counselors with information that will assist them as they provide academic and career guidance for students who plan to enter the health professions. Guest speakers representing various health professions will present the latest updates in trends, admissions, and requirements.

Pre-Health 101 Workshops
The Pre-Health 101 workshop is geared towards students who are interested in going on to professional health care programs such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, chiropractic, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy or occupational therapy. This workshop is designed to ensure students have learned the basic information and can begin meeting the requirements for competitive application.
The workshop is 1 hour long, and is offered multiple times throughout the semester. You must first attend a Pre-Health 101 workshop before coming to drop-in hours.
All Pre-Health 101 workshops will be available via Zoom. For details, location, and to RSVP for Pre-Health 101 events join HPAO BeachSync. Please note that you must RSVP in order to attend. Please show up to the meeting on time: the meeting will be locked 5 minutes after the meeting's start time.

This year California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Health Professions Advising Office (HPAO) partnered with California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB), Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC) to virtually host "Guiding the Health Professions Student: A Webinar for Counselors - MD vs. PA: Same Team, Different Roles."

The Graduate Studies Resource Center (GSRC) is a centralized source of information for graduate programs, application procedures and deadlines, student funding, and graduate writing support. The GSRC workshops and events are open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and non-CSULB students!
