Funding Agencies

California Air Resources Board (ARB)

The ARB offer California businesses a number of compliance resources including training courses, assistance with permitting, and referrals to financial assistance, including grant programs for early compliance with some regulations. Compliance assistance is sometimes offered through the enforcement division of a District or ARB.

Innovative Clean Air Technologies (ICAT)

The Innovative Clean Air Technologies (ICAT) grant program supports demonstration projects for innovative air-pollution-control technologies. The objective is to advance such technologies toward commercial application in California.

California Department of Education

The California Department of Education operates a large number of programs that provide funds to schools and other organizations for a variety of educational purposes.

California Energy Commission

As the state's primary energy policy and planning agency, the California Energy Commission is committed to reducing energy costs and environmental impacts of energy use - such as greenhouse gas emissions - while ensuring a safe, resilient, and reliable supply of energy.

Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA)

The mission of the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment is to protect and enhance public health and the environment by scientific evaluation of risks posed by hazardous substances.

California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA)

CalEPA's mission is to restore, protect and enhance the environment, to ensure public health, environmental quality and economic vitality. It fulfills its mission by developing, implementing and enforcing environmental laws that regulate air, water and soil quality, pesticide use and waste recycling and reduction. Its departments are at the forefront of environmental science, using the most recent research to shape the state's environmental laws.

California Department of Food and Agriculture

The California Department of Food and Agriculture strives to support the tradition of innovation and agricultural diversity by working with private industry, academia and public sector agencies. These partnerships allow the department to adapt public policy to a rapidly changing industry - California agriculture.
