The Hall of Science Dedication and Open House on September 23, 2011 began with a reception honoring donors who named a seat in the new state-of-the-art lecture halls. Following the reception, the official dedication was made by Dean Kingsford, CSULB President Alexander, CSU Chancellor Reed, Provost Para, and keynote speaker Alumnus Bob Decker, Ph.D., who commemorated the 160,000 + square foot addition to the CSULB science building complex and officially declared it open with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Donors who named rooms were recognized, self-guided tours were available, and a light lunch reception for all, plus a hosted VIP lunch for invited guests.
