Statement of Professional Engagement:

Dr. Vogel is engaged in the campus community through her teaching, research and service to the community and University. She has published in the areas of criminological theroy, public perceptions of crime, school violence, perceptions of the police, psychological correlates of date rape offending, and attitudes toward the death penalty. Teaching is at the center of Dr. Vogel’s professional life. She brings her research and service experiences into the classroom while challenging her students to question their own perspectives and to think critically about crime and social control.
