The College of Health & Human Services (CHHS) Academic Advising Center provides both general education and major academic advising to currently matriculated CSULB undergraduate students in all of the CHHS disciplines: Criminal Justice, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health Care Administration, Health Science, Kinesiology, Nursing, Recreation & Leisure Studies, Social Work, and Speech-Language Pathology.

Office Closures

Spring 2015 Walk In Advising

In an effort to accommodate more students, we have transitioned to 10 minute quick assist/schedule review sessions only. Thirty (30) minute appointments will resume after the first round of registration ends (late April).

Pre-Nursing Advising

If you are a declared and continuing Pre-Nursing student, click here for major specific advising information.

Freshmen Spring Advising

CSULB requires all freshmen to receive academic advising in their spring semester in order to register for their third semester (fall term).

Declared CHHS freshmen majors/pre-majors satisfy this requirement by attending a workshop hosted by CHHS Advising.

Schedule of Classes

The Schedule of Classes for Summer 2015 & Fall 2015 is now live!

Fall 2015 registration begins April 6th. Check your enrollment date on MyCSULB for your specific registration date and time.

Writing Proficiency Exam (WPE)

Undergraduate students must attempt the WPE when they have achieved between 30-50 cumulative units, and transfer students must attempt it in their first semester of attendance. Otherwise, a registration hold will be placed on their records.
