John Palmer brings to the classroom his extensive knowledge as a successful Fortune 500 financial executive with international sales and manufacturing company experience. John has worked in a wide variety of industries throughout his career ranging from aerospace and automotive to electronic components, consumer electronics, food and plastics. It is through these experiences that he honed his accounting and finance skills in GAAP, IFRS, FAR and program accounting reporting environments. His work history encompasses general and cost accounting, financial and management controls, system integrations, corporate compliance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), lean manufacturing, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), contracts, treasury and internal audit. Along with teaching accountancy at CSULB, John is also an independent financial consultant for several professional services firms.
