Our research program focuses on biomimetic inorganic chemistry, inorganic new materials, organometallics and inorganic nanomaterials. In particular, we are interested in synthesizing transition metal complexes that mimic biologically active non-heme iron containing nitric oxide by using specially selected ligands that model amino acids of protein and to investigate their properties using a combination of physical chemical techniques. We are also interested in the application of NMR, EPR, IR and UV-vis spectroscopies, electrochemical techniques, and DFT calculations on other inorganic systems.
