2019 CHER Institute Success!

Congratulations to all the 2019 CHER Institute Fellows! The 3rd Annual CHER Institute was held on June 3 to June 8, 2019. Seventeen early-career faculty from across the U.S. (with geographic diversity ranging from Hawaii to New York) convened at CSULB's Karl Anatol Center to participate in the six-day, intensive research training experience.

Participants received mentorship by a team of nationally-recognized social and health behavior research experts, all with a focus on health equity research. Additionally, CSULB President Dr. Jane Close Conoley and Provost Dr. Brian Jersky welcomed our new cohort of researchers from across the country.

CHER Institute co-directors Dr. Laura D'Anna and Dr. Alex Washington congratulate all the participants on their dedication to heath equity research, and look forward to the exciting and challenging work that their 2019 Institute experience will generate in the future.
