III. Use NJSTAR to type the following sentences in Chinese. Save the typed work. Try using e-mail to send it to me and yourself as an attachment. Please note that all Yes/No questions must use V+bu+V pattern.

1. May I ask, what's your (given or full) name?
2. Do you know Prof. Xie?
3. Do you study Chinese?
4. Does he speak Chinese?.
5. Do you often go to see Prof. Xie? (Hint: you can't use V+Bu+V pattern for this sentence)

VI. Prepare for the oral test

a. Ask the following questions in V+Bu+V pattern.
Are your Chinese?
Do you know him?
Do you study Chinese?
Is your mother a doctor?
Does he go to see his friend?

b. Tell me something in Chinese about Gubo, Palanka and Ding Yun. The following passage is a sample. Gubo and Palanka are students. Gubo is Palanka's boy firend. They all study Chinese. They often speak Chinese. Ding Yun is a foreign exchange student. She studies English and French. Palanka knows Ding Yun. Now Ding Yun goes to the store to buy books and pens. Gubo and Palanka also go to store to buy paper. Palanka introduce Ding Yun. Now Gubo also knows Ding Yun.
