I, Dr. Olga Korosteleva, am a professor of Statistics at the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics at California
State University, Long Beach (CSULB). I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 1996 from Wayne State University in Detroit, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Purdue University in
West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2002. Since then I have been teaching mostly Statistics courses in the Master's
program in Applied Statistics here at CSULB, and I am loving it!
I am an undergraduate advisor for students majoring in Mathematics with Option in Statistics. I am also the director of the Statistical Consulting Group. I am also the faculty supervisor of the Statistics Student Assocation. I am also the president-elect of the Southern California Chapter of the American Statistical Association (SCASA). I am also the editor-in-chief of SCASA monthly eNewsletter. In addition, I teach Math and Science Club at a public school.
