ABOUT ME

I, Dr. Olga Korosteleva, am a professor of Statistics at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1996 from Wayne State University in Detroit, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2002. Since then I have been teaching Statistics courses here at CSULB, and I love my job!
I am an undergraduate advisor for students majoring in Applied Statistics. I am also the faculty supervisor of the Statistics Student Association. I am also the treasurer of the Southern California Chapter of the American Statistical Association (SCASA) and the editor-in-chief of SCASA’s monthly eNewsletter. And I coach SoCal ARML team. And in addition, I am the author (co-author) of five statistical books.
