Zanaida Stewart, soprano, is a senior vocal performance in the College of the Arts at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). In 1998, she became CSULB¹s first Dean's Scholar in the Arts and was awarded a 4 year scholarship including full tuition and housing. She has received numerous other awards including the 2001 Alfred Caplan Opera Scholarship, the 2000 Long Beach State New York Alumni Club Scholarship, the 2000 Theodore Presser Scholarship, the 1999 BEEM Foundation 1st place scholarship, the 1998 L.A. Cultural Affairs Dept., Artist of the Future 1st place scholarship, and the 1998 National Arts Recognition and Talent Search, Level I award to name a few.
