Activity - Wikis
This activity should be done in groups of
4-6 students. To complete this activity you should take the following steps:
1- Search and find some laws and rules
about “Copyright and Fair Use” in educational settings.
2- Think about the most important things
that teachers and students should know about Copyright and Fair Use.
3- Working together as a group design and
compose a Wiki (at least 500 words) that could easily be used by teachers. (You
may use Google Drive , Wiki Spaces, or
any other tools)
4- Send the address of your Wiki to me for
grading.

1- Learn about wikis using this Youtube
video.
2- Learn how to create a wiki and how to
compose it using this Powerpoint.
3- You may use any of the followings to
create your Wiki
Grading Criteria
1- The number of laws, rules, and codes
covered.
2- The number of specific examples
of copyright rules that you can find (for example, what is the law for using a
YouTube Video, a Facebook comment,..
etc.).
3- Usefulness (covering topics more useful for
teachers and students).
4- Overall look (organization, alignment,
fonts, easy to read).
