California State University, Long Beach Department of Speech-Language Pathology professor Geraldine P. Wallach and associate professor emerita Betty McMicken, were honored at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association annual convention held recently in Denver.
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at CSULB has, once again, been named an outstanding business school by the Princeton Review and is featured in the 2016 edition of its guidebook, The Best 295 Business Schools.
U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera wrote the poem “Nohemi – a Song for Paris” to honor Nohemi Gonzalez, who was killed in the recent attacks in Paris. The poem was read by California State University Chancellor Timothy P. White at a vigil held on Sunday, November 15, on the Cal State Long Beach campus. Herrera is the first Hispanic Poet Laureate of the United States.
The Student Support Services Program (SSSP) at CSULB has been awarded three five-year grants totaling $4.75 million that help ensure the program will continue to assist first-generation, low-income and disabled students in their academic success at CSULB.
