Economics students placed well at the campus-wide 2012 Annual Student Research Competition in the Business, Economics, and Public Administration category. The First-place recipient was economics graduate student Denise Okamoto. The second-place recipient was economics graduate student Foong (Foo) Yee Law. An honorable mention went to mathematical economics & economic theory undergraduate student Victoria Marsh. The Annual Student Research Competition was held on Feb. 24, 2012.
Okamoto also represented the university at the statewide research competition, held May 4-5, 2012 at CSULB. She won first place in the Business, Economics, and Public Administration category at the 26th Annual California State University Student Research Competition.
