Many of our alumni maintain contact with the Economics Department and supply information on career opportunities for our graduates. Our graduates use their foundation in economics to teach, further study business and to advance in other related fields.
Alyssa Azucenas (B.A., mathematical economics and economic theory, 2011) currently works as a pension actuarial analyst for Towers Watson.
Caroline Beurskens (B.A., business economics, 2011) recently finished an English language instructor contract position at Yeungjin College in Korea. Beurskens is currently pursuing a career in fields that utilize her skills.
Jason Headley (B.A., economics, 2012) is the Long Beach branch manager for Beck Electric Supply.
Bret Hudzietz (B.A., business economics, 2012) is self-employed as a tax preparer for Hudzietz Tax Services.
Jerry Marroquin (B.A., economics, 2012) owns and manages Pipeline Newport Beach.
Jenette Muhar (B.A., economics, 2012) works at the Western University of Health Science as the assistant director of annual giving. Muhar is also a graduate student at Claremont Graduate School, studying economics and public policy.
Alexander Murray (B.A., economics, 2011) is a wealth strategy associate at UBS Financial Services. Murray is interested in possibly pursuing an MBA.
Juan Nieto Polo (B.A., mathematical economics and economic theory, 2010) owns and manages Blue Sky Cleaners in Redondo Beach.
Gregory Riffenbaugh (B.A., business economics, 2010) is an account manager for Nike, Inc.
David Shahrestani (B.A., business economics, 2012) is enrolled in a CPA program while employed at Skewers Restaurant.
Nhut (Nick) Tran (B.A., economics, 2010) is self-employed as a day trader.
Sergio Trujillo (B.A., economics, 2012) is a teacher for the Compton Unified School District. Trujillo is currently an M.A. Education degree graduate student at National University.
