Mobile phoneCSULB Mobile contains a host of sites and materials created by various campus departments and is built on an app platform created by the firm Desire2Learn, which also operates CSULB’s BeachBoard e-learning system, said Instructional Technology Support Services Director Leslie Kennedy, who oversees the app.

Need information? Check out CSULB Mobile’s links to campus maps, the University Library, 49er Shops, University Police Department, and even Long Beach Transit for bus and light rail schedules.

Another way to keep up with Cal State Long Beach is through its Facebook (particularly, and, Twitter (@csulb), Google+ (, and LinkedIn sites. A variety of campus organizations also have their own social media sites on these and other outlets—search for CSULB or Cal State Long Beach.

The campus is ramping up a stronger presence on YouTube and other sites to engage students, alumni and the community with the university. For instance, the College of Business Administration’s YouTube site ( includes interviews with students, faculty and business mentors.
