Thank you for your interest in the CSULB 49er Foundation. I invite you to take a few moments to explore our website and learn more about how the Foundation is helping California State University, Long Beach achieve its extraordinary potential.
The world has changed quite a bit since CSULB (then “Los Angeles-Orange County State College”) opened its doors in 1949. Our campus has changed over the years, too, evolving and expanding to meet the needs of a diverse student body and a dynamic region. The CSULB 49er Foundation carries that proud tradition forward.
Philanthropy now plays a vital role on college campuses throughout the country. At CSULB, we rely on private funding to ensure affordability and to furnish a margin of excellence that will enable “The Beach” to remain a university of distinction. The CSULB 49er Foundation was created to augment and manage those all-important private resources. It is governed by a dedicated volunteer board that provides the highest levels of support, leadership, and oversight.
Working together, we can have a transformative impact on our campus and community. I hope you will be part of this exciting new era.
