Academic Enrichment Camp

What a great way to have your child spend the summer. The morning will be filled with fun classroom activities (math, computers, language arts, reading etc.), and the afternoon can be spent at the 49er Sports Camp.

There is a separate application the 49er Camp. The 49er Camp staff can be reached at (562) 985-4049.

Session 1 - CLOSED

If you are interested in registering your child for 7th or 8th grade for Session 1, please contact the camp office at (562) 985-2570.

Session 2 - CLOSED

Mon. July 15 - Fri. August 9, 2019

Academic Enrichment Camp Registration is closed.

Registration for Academic Enrichment Camp does not guarantee a spot in 49er Camp.

Payment, Balance Due and Refunds

  1. Full payment without discounts is $560 per child per session.
  2. A mandatory $100 non-refundable deposit is required with each application, and for each session. You must pay the deposit with the online payment process, otherwise your application will not be accepted. Balance payments must be made by June 3rd, 2019 (Session 1) and July 1st (Session 2). Your camp application will be canceled if full payment is not received by the due date.
  3. All applicants will pay online through our secure processor CASHNet using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express). The 2.75% credit card convenience fee will be waived. Payments for balance of registration fees due will be accepted after the $100 non-refundable deposit is processed. Balance of the registration fees must be made online by credit card.
  4. Refunds Policy:
    1. The mandatory $100 deposit is not refundable.
    2. Payments made after the $100 deposit will be refunded as follows: If you choose to withdraw your child from the camp, please notify the camp office as soon as possible.
      • SESSION I: MONDAY, JUNE 10TH 5:00 p.m. - Balance due less $100 not-refundable deposit.
      • SESSION II: MONDAY, JULY 8TH 5:00 p.m. - Balance due less $100 not-refundable deposit.
  5. Children may not attend camp until the registration balance is paid.

NOTE: After you submit your online registration, your application will be processed and a confirmation email will be sent to you with balance information and application instructions.

Enrollment Procedures

To guarantee a spot for your child, the Camp Application Form must be completed online with a MANDATORY $100 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT PER CHILD. If full payment is not paid at the time of registration, the balance will be due by June 3rd , 2019 (Session 1) and July 1st  2019 (Session 2). COMPLETE ONE APPLICATION FORM PER CHILD attending the Academic Enrichment Camp. 

Children attending the 49er Camp will bring their lunch and will be supervised prior to the start of the 49er Camp. Please note that enrollment in one camp does not guarantee enrollment in any other camps. Spaces are limited and only guaranteed with a completed application and a nonrefundable $100 deposit or full payment.


  1. A $30 discount will be given to each additional child from the same family attending the same session.
  2. A per family $30 discount will be given to children of CSULB faculty, staff, or students.


The purpose of the Academic Enrichment Camp is to provide each child with a relaxed and exciting learning environment in which the basic skills of each of the subject areas will be taught.

Program of Activities

Work will be assigned according to grade readiness. Students will be assigned to groups according to THE GRADE THEY WILL BE ENTERING IN FALL 2019.

Instructors will evaluate the campers the first two days of camp. After an initial evaluation, campers will be taught using modified learning games, challenging activities, day-to-day learning experiences and worksheets. The children will review materials taught during the previous academic year and will also be introduced to new materials. Multiplication tables and division facts will be reviewed for grade appropriate campers. Common core standards will be introduced at all grade levels.

Age appropriate art projects will be taught to the campers as well.
