Academic Enrichment Camp

What a great way to have your son and/or daughter spend summer vacation. The morning will be filled with fun math, computer, language arts and art activities, and the afternoon can be spent at 49er Camp (separate application process).

Payment, Balance Due and Refunds

  1. Full payment without discounts is $520 per child per session.
  2. A mandatory $200 non-refundable deposit is required with each application, and for each session. You must pay the deposit with the online payment option, otherwise your application will not be processed. Balance payments must be made by June 5th, 2017 (Session 1) and July 3rd (Session 2).
  3. All applicants will pay online through our secure processor CASHNet using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express). The 2.75% credit card convenience fee will be waived. Payments for balance of registration fees due will be accepted after the $200 non-refundable deposit is processed. Balance of registration fees can be made online by credit card (highly recommended) or you may visit the campus and pay by check. We will not accept checks mailed to the campus.
  4. Balance of registration payment with check:
    1. Print the payment receipt from the online registration process. (sample below)payment receipt
    2. Bring this confirmation receipt to the University Student Union, 2nd floor - Associated Students Business Office. Payment must be made for the amount indicated on the receipt.
    3. The AS Business Office will keep the confirmation letter and will provide you with a receipt.
    4. AS Business Office hours are M - TH 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Fri. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    5. Refer to the CSULB campus map for parking arrangements if paying at the ASI Business Office. Short term parking is available in LOT 17 which is located in front of Brotman Hall. Short term parking fees are $1 for 30 minutes and $3 for one hour. Park in the designated green spaces.
  5. Refunds Policy:
    1. The mandatory $200 deposit is not refundable.
    2. Refunds will be given as follows: prior to the first teaching day - $300.
  6. Children may not attend camp until the registration balance is paid.

NOTE: After you submit your online registration, your application will be processed and a confirmation email will be sent to you with balance information and application instructions.

Enrollment Procedures

To guarantee a spot for your child, the Camp Application Form must be completed online with a MANDATORY $200 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT PER CHILD. If full payment is not paid at the time of registration, the balance will be due by June 5th, 2017 (Session 1) and July 3th, 2017 (Session 2). COMPLETE ONE APPLICATION FORM PER CHILD attending the Academic Enrichment Camp.

Children attending the 49er Camp will bring their lunch and will be supervised prior to the start of the 49er Camp. Please note that enrollment in one camp does not guarantee enrollment in any other camps. Spaces are limited and only guaranteed with a completed application and a nonrefundable $200 deposit or full payment.


  1. A $25 discount will be given to each additional child from the same family attending the same session.
  2. A per family $25 discount will be given to children of CSULB faculty, staff, or students.


The purpose of the Academic Enrichment Camp is to provide each child with a relaxed and exciting learning environment in which the basic skills of each of the subject areas will be taught.

Program of Activities

Work will be assigned according to grade (rediness). Students will be assigned to groups according to THE GRADE THEY WILL BE ENTERING IN FALL 2017.

Instructors will evaluate the campers the first two days of camp. After an initial evaluation, campers will be taught using modified learning games, challenging activities, day-to-day learning experiences and worksheets. The children will review materials taught during the previous academic year and will also be introduced to new materials. Multiplication tables and division facts will be reviewed for grade appropriate campers. Common core standards will be introduced at all grade levels.

Age appropriate art projects will be taught to the campers as well.
