California State University, Long Beach is proud to offer a variety of summer camps to boys and girls of all ages and ability levels. Held throughout the summer months on our beautiful campus, students are able to experience sports, academics, leadership and friendships all at one of the most prestigious campus in the country.
"The Beach" has provided Long Beach youth with a comprehensive camp experience for over 45 years. With the variety of camps offered, students will study in computer and science labs, create works of art in design buildings, compose essays and poetry in instructional labs, learn to lead a healthy life-style on athletic fields, sleep and eat in the dining halls, and even take a few campus tours. Courses vary such that campers want to come back year after year and try the different camps offered.
Our instructors create a wonderful camp culture based on caring and a true sense of community. Summer campers learn to communicate with their peers and with fellow campers. Individually, the directors of each camp set goals and recognize the potential of each camper and provide a learning environment to experience success.
The skills acquired at these various summer camps enable campers to believe in themselves and contribute to their making choices that provide them with opportunities for self-advancement.
