Bring new, unwrapped toys to collection boxes throughout campus.

Toys are collected during November and early December for the Annual  Bob Rodgers Cherishing Children toy drive.  This year the toys are needed by Monday, December 7, 2015 for this year’s CSULB Cherishing the Children Holiday Party.

The “wrap” party meets before the Children's Holiday party to wrap presents to be given out at the campus hosted party. Staff volunteers wrap between 120 - 150 gifts.

The CSULB Cherishing the Children Holiday Party is on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 and hosts 100-125 children in foster care or children in need. Volunteers from across campus assist in the party which features music, refreshments, crafts and games.  Each child receives a gift, a goodie bag as well as a photo with Santa or Mrs. Claus. Santa will be visiting the children from 3pm tp 5pm.

There are toy collection boxes throughout the campus. Staff, students, faculty and alumni all participate in the toy collection drive. A portion of the toys collected are set aside for the children’s party and the remainder are given to the Long Beach Fire Department, "Spark of Love" Toy Drive.
