Homecoming 2016 On Nov. 5

Land of the Legendary…Homecoming and Open House 2016 will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, and staff and faculty members can attend for free as a guest of their vice president and bring guests for just $5 each.

Free activities for the whole family take place at the homecoming site in Lot 13 and include airbrush tattoos, wax hands and more. Ride the hurricane and play on the inflatables. Visit booths featuring Breathe,, Student Recreation and Wellness Center, and the Beach Pantry. Live music by local favorite The Emperors.

The Alumni Association and Long Beach State Athletics will host the Homecoming Pavilion with the campus community, alumni and friends of the university. Enjoy a delectable barbecue buffet from Naples Ribs Co. and sample beer from Pyramid Brewing from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., shuttle buses will depart from the Homecoming site about every 20 minutes for campus open houses including the Shark Lab, solar telescopes, University Art Museum, Science Learning Center and marine biology Labs, College of Engineering labs and the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden.

Game ticket packages are available that include a meal and ticket for the men’s basketball game versus the Caltech Beavers tipping off at 4 p.m.
