OLLI Summer Session Signup

Registration for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at CSULB for the summer session began June 4, and can be done by either mail or in person in the OLLI Office located in the CSULB Human Services and Design Building (HS&D), Room 100, near the corner of Palo Verde Avenue and East University Drive. Summer session will run from Monday, June 27 through Monday, Aug. 22.

OLLI is offering a host of exciting lecture classes, including Summer Olympics, Quick and Easy Cooking, CUBA (Un) friendly Neighbor, World of Gilbert and Sullivan, Hollywood Musicals II and Persistent Dilemmas in U.S. Returning this session will be Short Stories, Irish History, Beginning Watercolor Painting, Drawing for All; and more. For those looking to improve their health and fitness, OLLI offers Tai Chi and Longevity Stick. The activity classes are held in the LifeFit Center on the CSULB Campus. OLLI computer classes are conducted in a 12-seat state of the art PC and Mac equipped lab by skilled instructors, also on the CSULB campus. One new computer class this summer will be PowerPoint 2013. These and other classes will be offered Monday through Thursday and will be on the new Windows 10.

OLLI currently has four convenient locations for classes: HS&D Building on the CSULB campus, Rooms 101 and 119; OLLI Pine Avenue at 737 Pine Avenue, Suite 202; OLLI Leisure World at 13533 Seal Beach Boulevard in Seal Beach; and the Albert Jewish Community Center at 3801 East Willow in Long Beach.

OLLI at CSULB has an annual membership fee of $40 that covers the winter, spring, summer and fall sessions and is pro-rated for the spring and summer sessions at $20. Tuition is $10 per lecture class and $35 per eight-eek and $20 per four-week computer class. Parking permits are available for a fee.
