Laurels: December 2015

Clorinda Donato, Romance/German/Russian Languages and Literatures, recently saw the publication of her latest book Enlightenment Spain and the ‘Encyclopédie méthodique, which was edited by Donato and UC Berkeley’s Ricardo López. This is a key publication in the “Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment” series as it uncovers a geopolitical warring of words between Spain and France in the 18th century which has resonances to today’s political scene.

Lesley Farmer, Advanced Studies in Education and Counseling, recently had her book titled Information and Digital Literacies: A Curricular Guide for Middle and High School Librarians published by Rowman and Littlefield.

Angela Wranic, Geography, successfully defended her dissertation at the Department of Geography, Texas State University, San Marcos, on Nov. 20. Her dissertation is titled “Composite Learning Objects in Geographical Sciences: A Comparison Study of the Learning Process between a Costa Rica and United States University Classroom.”
