International Education Week

CSULB is celebrating International Education Week Nov. 16-20 with a series of events including a kick-off festival and an African Cultural Extravaganza.

The week began Nov. 16 at the University Student Union’s (USU) South West Terrace with the opportunity to meet international students and enjoy snacks and activities from their home countries; learn about internationally themed services and programs on campus; and watch multicultural dance performances.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 12 to 2 p.m., an African Cultural Extravaganza will showcase four African countries, drums and dance, discussions on the Africa project and free African food in the USU Beach Auditorium. Honorary Consul of Ivory Coast Dr. Ngoma Claude Zaho, Consul General of Ethiopia Zerihun Retta Shumye, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Guinea Jordan Garcia and Honorary Consul of Senegal Mame T. MBaye are scheduled to attend.
