Countdown To Homecoming

Just a few more days until Beach Pride comes alive at Homecoming and Open House 2015…Long Beach State of Mind! Homecoming is on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Lot 13 adjacent to the Walter Pyramid.

Staff and faculty can enjoy the buffet lunch, featuring taco, nacho and sundae bars, in the Alumni and Friends tent from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and attend the men’s basketball game free as a guest of their vice president and bring guests for just $5 each. The Forty-Niners will take on the BYU-Hawaii Seafarers beginning at 4 p.m.

There will be abundant free activities from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. including airbrush and henna tattoos, and a caricature artist. Hop on the carnival ride or take a selfie in the photo booth. The Declare Pavilion will have a special VIP lounge for faculty and staff who have donated to the DECLARE campaign or visit the Mobile Science Museum, University Art Museum, Univesity Bookstore and a number of college booths. In addition, many club sports will have demonstrations.

Board a free shuttle to visit open houses campus wide which can take you to bowl a free game or shoot a free game of pool at the University Student Union. From there you can move on to the University Art Museum, Shark Lab, Science Learning Center and Marine Biology Labs, Student Recreation and Wellness Center, the Carpenter Performing Arts Center, the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden and other locations.
