Time Moves Forward

Published: March 1, 2015

Sorry, but you’re gonna lose an hour on Sunday, March 8—that’s when Daylight Saving Time begins. As always, it’s recommended you turn all your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

For future reference, Daylight Saving Time begins each year at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March, so that’s when you move clocks ahead one hour.

Standard Time begins each year at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November when you move clocks back one hour.

In 2015, Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8 and ends Sunday, Nov. 1

If you like to plan ahead, the Daylight Saving Time start/end dates through 2017 are:

  • 2016: March 13 and Nov. 6
  • 2017: March 12 and Nov. 5
