Countdown To Homecoming 2014

Just a few days until Beach Pride comes alive at CSULB’s Homecoming and Open House 2014 with the theme “Life is a Highway,” in Lot 13 outside the Walter Pyramid on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Staff and faculty can enjoy the slider barbecue buffet, nacho and sundae bars in the Alumni and Friends tent and attend the basketball game free as a guest of their vice president. They can also bring guests for just $5 each.

There will be an abundance of free activities from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. including a henna artist, a photo booth, airbrush tattoos and a caricature artist. Attendees can also go on the hurricane ride and cheer on the Red Bull chariot race teams in the student tailgate zone. In addition, booths featuring the Mobile Science Museum, University Art Museum and the colleges of Health and Human Services and Engineering will be available to visit. Many club sports will also be on hand doing demonstrations.

There will also be shuttle buses leaving every 15 minutes for campus open houses including CSI@CSULB, Shark Lab, University Art Museum, Science Learning Center and Marine Biology labs, Green Houses and the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden.

Game ticket packages are available and include the meal and a ticket for the men’s basketball game vs. the San Francisco State Gators that tips off at 4 p.m. That same ticket stub will get individuals free admission to the women’s volleyball match versus UC Santa Barbara at 7 p.m.
