Fundraising Priorities

Support for Student-Athletes

Operations. The costs associated with competing at a national level require the athletic program to raise money in support of travel, academic support, nutrition, and scholarship. Private support is the only way we are able to compete with the best in the country.

Support for Capital Projects

Blair Field Renovations. Phase 1 of this multi-phase project includes the construction of a new batting facility, relocation of bull pens, creation of a new home-run fence, and basically laying the foundation for future renovations.

New Track Surface. LBSU is building a state-of-the-art track and field complex. New equipment is needed to complete this facility, which will give our student-athletes the ability to train and compete at a championship level.

Softball/Soccer Team Center. Athletics is seeking to construct a team center that will house our softball and women's soccer programs.

Athletics Performance Complex. Athletics is seeking to renovate a current space to create a complex that will allow student-athletes access to a state-of-the-art Strength and Conditioning Center, Sports Medicine Center, and Nutrition Center.

Support for the Legacy

Endowments. Athletics has over $11 million in legacy gifts that have been committed for a variety of purposes. Many of these gifts will create endowments that will help support our programs for years to come.

Namings. There are several buildings, offices, and spaces that offer naming opportunities for folks who seek to leave a visual legacy for themselves or a loved one. Some naming opportunities require an investment of cash today, while others may be received through a commitment of a legacy gift.
