University Library

The University Library is the center of lifelong learning for your student. The Library’s mission is to provide access to quality research both on and off campus. The Library spends more than $1 million annually on books, journals, full text research databases and other resources. Students have access to more than 1,000,000 books, journals, magazines, multi-media, audio books, and e-books in the Library’s collection as well as all of its off-campus electronic resources.

A recently completed remodel has resulted in the creation of a state-of-the-art student- centered space for studying and relaxing. There are more than 180 computer workstations with internet access and Microsoft Office products. Additionally, there is free wireless Internet access for students throughout the entire building.
The Library is open until midnight, five nights a week with extended hours during finals. Your student will be able to enjoy the Starbucks coffee store on the first floor of the library. There are quiet study and group study areas, including a 20,000 sq. ft. study room with ocean views on the top floor.

To ensure your student learns to effectively use information, the Library offers research assistance via chat, email, phone and at the Reference Desk. Subject librarians are available for individual appointments and a variety of research workshops are offered throughout the semester. The Library has partnered with the Writer’s Resource Lab to offer integrated drop-in clinics to help your student synthesize information and write effectively.
