Eligibility & Application

Program Eligibility

In order to be considered for the TRiO Student Support Services Program at CSULB, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. A U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident
  2. Currently enrolled at CSULB as an undergraduate student
  3. And meet one or more of the following criteria:
    • First generation status: parent/guardian did not earned a 4-year college degree
    • Considered low-income based on federal income guidelines
    • Have a documented disability (disclosure is voluntary and confidential)
  4. Not currently participating in the CSULB Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

To be considered for program admittance, a completed application must be submitted by the priority deadline listed below. Applications submitted after the priority deadline will be placed on the waitlist until the following semester.

Priority Application Deadlines: 2018-2019

SEMESTER START PRIORITY DEADLINE APPLICATION NOTIFICATION
Fall September 14th October 1 - 5
Spring February 8th February 25 - March 1

How to apply

If you meet the eligibility requirements listed above you are encouraged to apply!

  1. Complete the TRiO Student Support Services Program Application.
  2. Submit the completed TRiO Student Support Services Program Application by the priority deadline.
