TRiO Student Support Services Program (SSSP) is a federally-funded program designed to assist students who are low-income, first-generation to college, or have a disability, who also have academic need and the motivation to achieve their maximum potential in higher education.

SSSP engages students to build a sense of belonging and confidence at CSULB. We advocate, navigate, support, and serve as resources to our students. Creating a safe and positive environment for students to work through confusion and struggle, SSSP co-facilitates problem-solving with students to strengthen self-efficacy. Above all, we encourage student success and learning.

Beginning fall 2015, TRiO SSSP- Classic at CSULB will be in the fifth year of a five year grant of $2,550,550 awarded by the U.S. Department of Education.

Also beginning in fall 2015, the two TRIO SSSP- STEM/Health Sciences and Disability grants are in their first year of five year grants of $1,100,000 each.

The CSULB TRiO Student Support Services Program is now accepting new applicants for 2015-16.
