The Student Assistant Training Program (SATP) is a program composed of two required professional development workshops and continued support. The goal of the program is to give student assistants critical tools in customer service, business etiquette, and computer applications so they can thrive in their positions.
The benefits of student professional development can immediately impact the level and quality of work of our students. Since many of our student employees are front desk staff and may also have interactions with key figures on- and off-campus, they really are the "face" of our institution. Providing them with the opportunity to participate in the SATP should cause them to take more responsibility for their roles as representatives of the university while enriching the experience of working on campus.
