Acupuncture Clinic

Due to the current health advisory, Student Health Services is open for essential services only, such as acute illnesses. The Acupuncture clinic will be postponed until further notice.

The Student Health Services offers free acupuncture once a week during the academic semester. A licensed acupuncturist provides this service to students at no cost. Appointments are 15 to 30 minutes in length and are done in a group setting.

What to expect during your appointment:

After checking in, each student sits in a chair and is given an alcohol wipe to clean the ear area. The ear is an ideal location to use for acupuncture to reduce stress and to help with quitting substances (like cigarettes, vaping, drugs, and alcohol). The acupuncturist inserts tiny sterile needles into specific spots on the ears. These are left in place for about 15 minutes. Relaxing music is played while you rest. At the end of 15 minutes, the needles are removed and the student is free to leave. Please take your time standing up and expect to feel very relaxed afterwards. Students are welcome to return for more treatment sessions as needed.
